We Get It. The World Has Changed.

Updated: Dec 2022

Travel is back baby! But the world has changed and any responsible tour operator acknowledges and plans for that. The safety and well-being of Stellavision travelers (as well as our team, suppliers and neighbors here in Italy) is of paramount importance to us. We were proud to offer flexible booking conditions in 2021 and 2022 but even as things return to normal, we’re doing our utmost to care of you before and during your trips with us. Here’s some extra info so you can feel good about reserving your spot.

Our Covid-specific, WTFAQ guide to feeling good about your travel plans:

Our Health & Safety Planning:

Before You Travel:

  • Stellavision only accepts vaccinated travelers and all guests must provide proof of vaccination when booking.

  • As with all our trips, travel insurance is mandatory. We’ve researched several companies whose insurance includes Covid-related delays and changes. You can find them listed in our FAQs.

  • Our complete Booking Terms and Conditions can be viewed here.

On the Tour:

  • Masks must be worn in public places in compliance with Italian guidelines. We’ve got your back though: masks (as well as hand sanitizer) will be provided to all guests in their welcome kit. As of now, there are very few locations where this is a requirement in Italy.

  • We’re hoping it is never neccessary but if you need a Covid-19 test in Italy, we have the nearest sites and options ready to roll at any point during your Stellavision trip. We will provide all the details you require on how to obtain one quickly and inexpensively in Italy.

  • Suppliers & Partners: for the safety of our travelers, we exclusively work with hotels, restaurants and activity providers that have advanced cleaning, hygiene and sanitizing policies in place, in complete compliance with the most recent laws and measures set forward by the Italian government and World Health Organization. Our Covid-Specific, WTFAQ:

Is Italy open for tourists?

Yes! You must comply with all guidelines to enter the country (and once here) but leisure/non-essential travel is happening. The most up-to-date information issued by the Italian Government can be found here. If you’d like some help navigating that information as it relates to your specific country or circumstances, drop us a line.

What happens if I change my mind about traveling?

We understand that circumstances change though we’d be disappointed not to welcome you to Italy! If you have a change of heart we would not be able to return your deposit. Dependent on when you cancelled your booking, you might be entitled to waive your final payment or receive a partial amount returned. The full details can be found in Section 4 of our Booking Terms & Conditions. Travel insurance is mandatory on Stellavision Trips and we recommend ensuring you are covered for trip cancellation. This might be your only recourse to recoup your expenses in this scenario. The reason why we have to be strict here is because (aside from being a small business) we work with small, Italian businesses. They are always local and often family-run and in order to support their livelihood, we always honor our deposits with them.

I need a Covid test 3 days before the tour ends and I board my flight home. How do I organize that?

You don’t have to organize it, we will help with that. Please be sure to mention this to us and we’ll coordinate around your tour schedule.

What should I pack for my Italian vacation?

This is our WTFAQ but all those answers can be found in our regular FAQ section.
